<備考>

[1.曲について]
　英国の準国歌のうちのひとつ、「希望と栄光の国」です。曲の方はご存知、エルガーによる「威風堂々」の第一番を用いています。

　つくられたのも第一次大戦前の時期とい、英国の最盛期であるため、歌詞もかなり調子の良いものとなっています。英国の準国歌といわれる歌は最盛期から外れたものが多いですが、この曲は例外的なものだといえるでしょう。

　最近の録音ではおおかた真ん中の「Land of Hope and Glory...」の箇所がけ歌われるのが殆どです。
